6 THINGS I’M 72.8% SURE YOU DON’T KNOW ABOUT TURN OF THE CENTURY LOVE MAKING

#1: In the mid 1800s to the early 1900s, condoms were made by wrapping actual strips of rubber around penis molds and then cured in a chemical solution.

#2: In 1900, a night of passion at Chicago’s famous Everleigh (brothel) Club would cost you $50. A bottle of champagne would set you back you only 12 bucks.

#3: Before he founded DC comics, Jack Liebowitz originally published nudie and sex pulp magazines.

#4: New York socialite Mary Phelps Jacob is credited for inventing the first modern design of the brassiere (bra).

#5: Paul Ehrlich discovered the cure for the STD Syphilis in 1909.

#6: Artist model Evelyn Nesbit was America’s sex icon of the early 1900s. She also helped plot the murder of her ex-lover / famous architect – Stanford White.

WHY DO WHITE SUPREMACISTS GO GA-GA FOR LAWN JOCKEYS?

I actually do remember seeing a bunch of these back in the day, now, not-so-much. I’m pretty sure most of the white supremacists are too old to keep up their Grand Wizard estates. They probably all reside in some White Supremacist rest home. Sucking on mint Jell-O.

To me, I never understood why the bigots loved these lawn ornaments. Technically successful jockeys can make a cool mill per year.

LAWN JOCKEY HISTORY.
Legend has it that the lawn jockey is modeled after Jacko Graves. Apparently he was a young African American boy that wanted to help fight the redcoats in 1776.

Washington said he was too young for battle. However, he told Jacko that he could watch the calvary’s horses while they crossed the Delaware river. And that he should keep a latern blazing so the soldiers could find their way back from the mission. Jacko was so faithful to General Washington that he froze to death carrying out his orders.

In the 1800s these statues were used to point escaped slaves towards the direction of underground railroad safe houses.

It wasn’t until the early 1900s when the moron racists really started to go nuts for these statues. Again, I didn't find much of a reason for it. Only that (In their small minds) displaying a tiny caricature of an African American on their lawns was the ultimate tribute to the Days of Dixie.

Thankfully today our society has almost all but abandoned this practice. Instead we proudly display our hatred for dwarves and midgets.
