SO HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST TO HAVE ALAN THICKE SPEAK IN YOUR BASEMENT?

Found a great site called All American Speakers. Basically it lists speaking engagement costs for almost any famous person on the planet. Who’d I look up? Duh! Jason Seaver aka ALAN THICKE. The cost range for this Canadian king is [drum roll please]…

Personally I think he should get way more than that. He carried Growing Pains and sung the theme song! Take a listen.

FINALLY, A BLOG THAT ASKS THE QUESTIONS NO ONE HAS EVEN THOUGHT OF ASKING.

That’s right. While other blogs are busy talking about their feelings, kids, or guinea pigs...
[Bailey is sooooo cute!]

...I’m asking probing questions like HOW MUCH IS A ROOKIE MIKE SEAVER CARD REALLY WORTH?

Before that, here’s a bit of background for the Gen Y peeps:
Mike Seaver (played by Kirk Cameron) was the oldest son in the hit ABC show GROWING PAINS. The series lasted from 1985 – 1992 (give or take a couple of reunion shows).

So how much is the card worth?
The only place I could find the card value (without going to a bookstore and spending my money on a trading card price guide) is ebay. Here’s what I got.

NWM 3 DAY-OLD CELEBRITY SIGHTING: KATE, PLUS 2…MAYBE.

This past Sunday afternoon-ish, the Wyomissing Starbucks (on State Hill Rd. near the Berkshire mall) was treated to an appearance by none other than Kate Gosselin. NWM sources say she was at the beanery with what looked like Cara Nicole and Leah Hope. Kate was enjoying a grande Arabian Mocha Sanani with a dollop of whip cream and chocolate shavings. While the two little ones were munching on chocolate chip cookies.  At one point Hope did have a sip of mom’s drink, but made a face.

EBAY ODDBALL FIND: GROWING PAINS TRADING CARDS

The project LEO never wanted you to see. Yep, for a starting bid of just $9.99 you could be on your way to owning all the great Seaver moments, in convenient trading card form. Also included are “Seaver funny quotes” stickers and gum. The GROWING PAINS TRADING CARD set has 66 cards in all, and is in totally mint condition. [Click here to bid.]

NWM Tip: The gum is over 20 yrs old, so I’d probably hold off on giving it a chew.
