HAPPY 53 ¼ YEARS POP ROCKS!
Ok, by now we all know Mikey (the kid from the Life cereal commercial) did NOT die downing a packet and finishing it off with a Coke chaser. In fact, he’s currently an attorney in NYC. However, there are plenty of other things to discover about this fizzy favorite at poprockscandy.com. Like why do Pop Rocks really pop? How can you create a Harry Potter-like bubbly potion with a simple Pop Rocks experiment? Or what goes into a Pop Rocks on the Beach mixed drink? Of course you can also order new pop rock flavors like watermelon, cotton candy and Xtreme. Available in regular sizes or bulk.
Watch the Mythbusters put the “Mikey Pop Rocks” urban legend to the test.

MUGGLE ME THIS – QUIDDITCH TOURNAMENTS?
You knew it was bound to happen. I mean really, the signs were there. The all-night sleep-outs on the book lines. Billions of dollars spent on merchandise and movies. And yes, now college age Harry Potter fans have one more thing to look forward to – competitive Quidditch. The sport is taking over college campuses faster than a [insert relevant Harry Potter reference here.] LSU, BU and Vermont are just a few that have competitive Q-teams up and running (chasing down the snitch.) Unfortunately, since we are all Muggle born there are obvious changes that needed to be made to the sport. All of which you can find in a 39 page Intercollegiate Quidditch Rules and Guide-Book written by Xander Manshel and Alex Benepe. And yes, if your team has what it takes you could find yourself entered in the Intercollegiate Quidditch World Cup, held at Middlebury in October. After that who knows, you could be facing Slytherin.
