HEY COMIC NERD! WHAT’S THE SICKEST THING YOU EVER SAW IN A COMIC BOOK?

“What? Superman got a kryptonite hemorrhoid or something?”

NO! You want F---d up? Check out Green Lantern #54 (cover pictured above). This eerie emerald tale was penned by Ron Marz. Essentially the plot here is Kyle Rayner (reigning Green Lantern at the time) comes home to find his girlfriend Alex DeWitt killed.
Now here’s the f—d up part – Alex was dismembered and stuffed in a fridge. Correction, stuffed into Kyle's fridge for him to discover.

For nerds keepin’ score at home the killer was Major Force.
Screwed up enough for you?

  1. Isn't "comics" supposed to be a form of "comedy?"

  3. Seen much, much worse. Graphic novels know no bound. Like in Watchman in the comic within a comic, Tales of the Black Frieghter, where the guy lashes the dead bodies together to make a raft.
Ever read I Luv Halloween? That was just unerving in a weird way.

  4. They should make a movie based on that issue alone. It'll be awesome.

  13. I'm surprised that made it past the Comic Code Authority. It's reminiscent of the old Eerie comics.

  16. Y'know, I was always into off-the-radar kinda comic publications. First Comics, the guys who did Ex-Mutants and other nonsuch, and some of the Michael Moorcock Hawkmoon/Eternal Champion comics.

Strangely enough my mom got me into Elfquest for the longest time, but then I turned 12, got on the internet and eternally loathed the fanbase.

Just...pure hate of the most vile viciousness.

I frikkin' haaaaated them. And this was before I got into college and REALLY learned how to express my negative emotions and such.
