Howard Stern’s sidekick / comedian Artie Lange has made no bones about his love for foods of the high-caloric variety. So what’s his favorite out of the bunch? Probably depends on his mood and where he is in the country. Though if Artie is in Hoboken, NJ, dollars to powdered, creamed donuts he'll make a stop at his favorite pizza place – UPTOWN PIZZERIA. To be honest, I have to side with Artie. This za doesn’t disappoint. I had a pepperoni sausage slice from there a couple of years back. Man was it good. The tomato sauce was slightly sweet with just the right amount of spices. I could totally taste the fresh mozzarella. And the crust was crispy, but not too dry. Perfecto. Didn’t even need to add any garlic powder. Next time you’re over by 54 14th St. in Hoboken, NJ, you gotta stop by for a try. For the true Artie-experience, order a slice of Sicilian.

WILL HOWARD STERN RETURN TO TERRESTRIAL RADIO?

According to orbitcast.com, there is a possibility that Stern could return to terrestrial radio in 2010. Why you might ask? Well, he doesn’t need the money that’s for sure. That being said, it seems like Stern will always want to be a part of the “daily buzz”. The rumors say Stern could join Talk Radio Network or Jones Broadcasting. Given the economic downturn as of late there could be real benefits to going back to “free radio”. Stern could do as many shows as he wants for less than five hours a day. It could be under his terms; sort of like being “semi-retired”. Though the return of the censor-police might be his only disadvantage. Stay tuned.

Captain Janks is back in the news again for stiffing a club in Allentown , PA –  one thousand bucks. There seems to be some 40-60 potential victims that claim to have been “taken” by Janks. No word if any official suits have been filed.

This past week represented a huge part of Howard Stern history. October 8, 2009 was the 16th year anniversary of Howard Stern’s autobiography, Private Parts. Was it a popular book you ask? Believe it or not, Private Parts was the fastest- selling book in Simon & Schuster’s history, according to Wikipedia. It was later adapted into a film in 1997. It is number 87 on the American Library Association’s list of the “100 Most Frequently Challenged Books” between 1990-2000. As a huge Howard Stern fan, I enjoyed reading about his life and fame. I recommend it to Howard devotees everywhere.
