Electronic Spin the Bottle Game ($9.99 at Amazon)

Last time I played Spin the Bottle was in West Hampton, NY back in the summer of ’95. I was 24. And I did ok. The guy with much better hair than me totally cleaned up. He also was pretty skillful at the spinning part. A talent that is sadly not needed for this i-kissing version. Personally I think it hurts the sport. Though the following reviewer begs to differ.

1-Yes, there is an electronic Spin-The-Bottle game and it is for ages 9 and up.

2-The production company Spin the Bottle Inc. created the show Pop-Up video which premiered on VH-1 in 1996.

3-In an episode of Sex and The City, Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) played Spin-the-Bottle at a party and had a lesbian make out session with Dawn (guest star – Alanis Morissette).

4-The last time I personally played Spin-the-Bottle was the summer of 1995 in West Hampton, Long Island. FYI…I made out with 4 girls that night. No regrets. Yep, that made me sound like a douche.

5-Variations of the game have included playing in the dark with a flashlight. 

6-It is possible to play Spin-the-Bottle in the Sims 2 game for PC and Xbox (not iphone).

SPIN THE BOTTLE: THE ELECTRONIC GAME

Remember those days of teen-dom. Your friend has a party, which consists of 20 (or so) kids in some progressive parent’s basement. A Wham-like band blasts on the record/cassette/stereo. And a sea of cracking voiced, puberty filled teens dance and horseplay. All while munching Cheetos and swigging Diet Cherry 7Up. Of course, as the party dies down (to a handful of kids) that’s when the real fun begins. SPIN THE BOTTLE. The game usually presented its own challenges depending on the bottle you found. Plastic was all over the place. Glass could break. And somehow the spins were never that accurate and could be fixed (depending on skill.) It’s all the teen-tensioned fun, without the work. It even has a truth or dare mode. On the box it mentions something about “all boy” and “all girl” play.
