F*CKED UP FLASH GAME OF THE DAY.

Level of play: Easy
Type: Adult
NWM Rating: 4.5 stars

This one is as screwed up as they come. Not one of those “win”or lose” type games. The only real object here is simply to torture your prisoner to death. You can choose from 1 of 4 merciless, mutilations – acid bath, razor, knife, or spike.

BEST OF BANNED GAMES.

by Biz-Boy (NWM Staff Writer)

Actually, all these games are available in the U.S. It’s Australia that has the f’d up video game laws. Young Aussies can probably thank the religious zealots and their versions of PTA moms with lots of time on their hands. The following are the crème de la crème of games that (at least the original versions) never made it to the land down under, for one sordid reason or another.

7 Sins: Players need to succumb to all the sins in order to climb the social ladder in fictional Apple City. FYI...the sin that had Aussies in a tizzy the most was #5, Lust.

Leisure Suit Larry (Magna Cum Laude): Larry’s heading back to school and fraternizing with the sorority girls. A-Land banned this one because Larry gets to have sex with actual naked college girls after a job well done.

Reservoir Dogs: Apparently you can sell the DVD of the movie, but you can’t play the game?

Sexy Poker: No explanation needed.

MEET THE SNOODS.

by Eddie Winkle (NWM Staff Writer)

Probably clocked in about 5 kajillion hours playing this insanely, addictive game. Never once did I think about the Snoods themselves ‘til now. So here they are, the full roster (and character description) of the original Snoods created by David M. Dobson in 1996.

Jake (Blue): Big, blue boss-man.

Midoribe (Green): Craves a clean environment.

Mildred (Grey): Likes to read.

Spike (Purple): Cool rocker of the group.

Zod (Red): Very cautious.

Geji (Light blue): Big friend supporter.

Sunny (Orange): Happy and mellow.

GO JESUS! KICK SOME RIGHTEOUS ASS.

[Adult Swim.com] presents Bible Fight. Think Mortal Combat meets the Old and New Testaments. Cast of fighters include: Moses, Mary, Noah, Eve, Satan and Jesus. Each game is a one on one 3 round battle. You win, you move on to fight another character. Along with the usual ass-whooping abilities (kicks, punches, knee to the groin, etc.), characters also have secret weapons. These powers relate to their biblical backstory, like Eve and her snake issues. Onward Christian soldiers to Adultswim.com.

Tip: Like Mortal Combat, the least likely candidates usually have the best powers, and are the most agile. Go with Eve or Mary (see below). You won’t be sorry.

THE MOUSE WITH TUDE.

I’m not saying I would have gotten the all-time high score on Archon (old puke green apple IIe game back in the day). Though, if I had the Zalman Mouse FPSGUN FG-1000 it wouldn’t have taken me 1,956 tries to beat the evil king. Basically, this is a mouse that looks and feels like a joystick (game controller for those post-Atari2600). And for you level 10 gamers, you do have the ability to change the sensitivity and toggling power (if that's a word) of the controls. Aside from shooting up zombies in dungeons, the Zalman Mouse’s ergonomic design also helps shield against the dreaded Carpal Tunnel.

SPIN THE BOTTLE: THE ELECTRONIC GAME

Remember those days of teen-dom. Your friend has a party, which consists of 20 (or so) kids in some progressive parent’s basement. A Wham-like band blasts on the record/cassette/stereo. And a sea of cracking voiced, puberty filled teens dance and horseplay. All while munching Cheetos and swigging Diet Cherry 7Up. Of course, as the party dies down (to a handful of kids) that’s when the real fun begins. SPIN THE BOTTLE. The game usually presented its own challenges depending on the bottle you found. Plastic was all over the place. Glass could break. And somehow the spins were never that accurate and could be fixed (depending on skill.) Well with Toys4Me's Electronic Spin the Bottle all those problems disappear. No more bad spins. No more questionable "which kid did it land on" calls. It’s all the teen-tensioned fun, without the work. It even has a truth or dare mode. On the box it mentions something about “all boy” and “all girl” play. I’ll just stay away from that one, thank you. Grab Toys4Me's Electronic Spin the Bottle for your youngsters on Amazon for only $9.99. And coming soon – 7 Minutes in Heaven for Wii.
