So while most of the country is dealing with the deep freeze, fashion mavens are busy at work putting the finishing touches on the 2010 spring collection. The hot new trend – open stitch “holey” sweaters. Think regular wool sweater with giant shapes cut into it. Obviously ups the exposed skin factor if you want to play it that way. Though if you want a more reserved look or are worried about freezing your tush off you can wear a Gap body tee shirt ($19.50) or a tank underneath. You can also wrap a pashmina around your neck.

In the past few months I’ve seen no less than 9 flickr sets of past Cos parties and invitations to at least 5 upcoming Cosby Sweater parties at bars. Most people love to associate Bill’s signature wool collection as bad fashion. I’m more in the camp of simply outdated. I mean back in the day, any one of those sweaters would have gone for a pretty penny in the high fashion, Euro-boutiques.
