MAN, PEOPLE REALLY DO HATE THE CRAP OUT OF SCRAPPY-DOO!


Scrappy-Doo was added to the Scooby-Doo cast in 1979.  Apparently the show was at a ratings low point. So the ABC suits thought a new character might draw in viewers. Surprisingly this “puppy power!” actually helped…at least back in the day. Though as we all know, Scrappy eventually became one of the most hated characters in Hanna-Barbera history. And sadly this rage has yet to die down. Check out these comments I found on the net.

    HAHAHA "the Yoko Ono of saturday morning cartoons" I got killed there!...But its right he was completely annoying I remember thinking...gosh I wish I could ran him over..but then I have no car..who cares I´ll just roll over him whatever it takes! Haha now that I think about it..i do really hate him xD

    Scrappy doo is/was the by product of good mexican chili. Scooped up and thrown wildly at the tele by a monkey. fuck scrappy doo.

    This is so funny! I had no idea people hated Scrappy Doo so much! I hadn't thought of Scrappy Doo in forever. Now, I'm seething!

    I hate scrappy doo! I also hated the baby Flintstones. A shitload of cartoons babied out at one time. I'm not sure what was so "cute" about it. I guess they thought they were getting a bigger kid audience, but it was the opposite, even the little ones hated it.
