Tonya Harding’s rising star in the skating world crashed and burned on January 6, 1994. Precisely at the moment when her ex-husband (Jeff Gillooly) and bodyguard (Shawn Eckhardt) did the ol' whack attack on Nancy Kerrigan. After that faithful day, a TV movie, five network interviews and a Fox sitdown – Tonya finally hung up her skates for good.
Eight years later, Tonya Harding the boxer was born. The seed was planted after her Fox Celebrity Boxing bout against (fellow headline-maker) Paula Jones. Unfortunately, Tonya’s boxing career too was cut short. This time do to complications with Asthma. Still, during that time she had amassed quite a record for herself.
