Plus they like a nice beet slice on it too. I went to an Australia Day Party at the end of January and our hosts served us "hamburgers with the lot." I can live without the pineapple ring and fried egg but the beet slice WAS actually pretty good with the burger.
I wouldn't mind trying pineapple on a burger, but a fried egg? I don't eat fried eggs all by themselves. A fried egg on a burger looks like some kind of new McEggBurger.
Sweet pineapple!!!!, that's wrong and even if you took it out there would be the taste of pineapple, I suppose you could order something else or hold the fecking pineapple.....
Umm, so, the Australians are all descended from criminals and galley slaves, right? No wonder they put drooly fried egg on their burgers, they've probably eaten worse! :^)
Y'know, it's always interesting to see different takes on the classical burger. I mean, the Cubans got a delicious-sounding alternative that's more of a balance of flavors than anything else, once again calling for pineapple (if I remember correctly~!).
Then you got that one place somewhere in America that serves a bacon cheeseburger between two friggin' grilled cheese sandwiches.
THEN you got the 1% Burger or whatever it's called, made with pure kobe and wagyu beef and truffles and pretty much the most expensive ingredients. Wouldn't be surprised if diamond dust was involved somewhere.
Yeah, for me though - you can never go wrong with bacon, cheese, meat, grilled onions and mushrooms.
I want this. For like, 12 hours from now.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about the pineapple but the rest sounds awesome.
ReplyDeleteI would have to try the pineapple. I may be good. It just sounds wieid.

Brett's right. I love pineapple, but not with my eggs, thanks. That burger looks tiny, by the way. Maybe double the size.

ReplyDeleteSounds so good to me, pineapple asides I guess. Fried egg in a burger is an awesome concept, I won't lie I'd love that!
ReplyDeleteIt looks horrible, but I think i would like it.
ReplyDeleteI would have them hold the pineapple.
ReplyDeleteeeww pineapple?? D:
ReplyDeleteHey mate, don't forget the beetroot. And we don't get pineapple here in NZ, it must be an Aussie thing.

ReplyDeleteI'll admit to being curious. I've had one with an egg on it, and the addition of pineapple seems like a good thing.
