6 CHORDS THAT WOULD’VE GOT YOU LAID IN 1989

Sorry ladies, but it’s true. The moment females heard this musical progression something would happen to their loins [do females have loins?] Before I divulge any more information, I never used this power. In fact, it was used on me twice…maybe 3 times in college by the same guy. Judd Something. Can’t remember his last name. Anyway, he’d come into my dorm room (with guitar in hand), play the classic riff, and steal the girl right from under me. Here are the chords. Notes? Tabs? Whatever.
1) Low D
2) High D
3) A
4) Low G
5) High G
6) A / F#
Doesn’t ring any bells? If not, here’s a super-good clue
In 1987 (the same year the above song was released),Taylor Dayne coined the phrase “body rock”.

The single is featured on Guitar Hero Encore: Rock’s the 80s.

LEGENDARY LYRICS:

EVERYTHING I NEEDED TO KNOW ABOUT RELATIONSHIPS I LEARNED FROM HAIR METAL.

Baby, don't treat me bad.
Well, this could be the best thing that you'll ever have.
Baby, don't treat me bad.
(Well) you can do anything, but baby, don't treat me bad.
Oh, don't treat me bad.

3 LEGENDS OF AIR GUITAR.

I think I was 12, no 10 actually when I picked up my first air guitar. It was a Zoomcaster 7523 (hey, if I can have an imaginary guitar I can certainly make up the name). I remember it had gold sparkly trim, a worn leather strap, and a badass whammy bar. Every night in my Fred Flintstone™ Underoos® I rocked the house (aka: standing alone in front of my mirror), jamming to such hard classics as …

  • It’s Still Rock and Roll To Me – Billy Joel
  • Magic – Olivia Newton-John
  • Celebration Kool and The Gang

I had talent. I really did. There was no doubt. Unfortunately like all kids that age, I threw all of my imagination away for real toys (made by the man) like the Atari 2600, 2XL Robot, and the Millenium Falcon. If I had only kept it up, who knows. Maybe I could’ve competed at the US Air Guitar Championships 20 plus years later. Or better still, been inducted into the US Air Guitar Hall of Fame.
