FUN FACTOIDS ABOUT A DEADLY DISH: BLOWFISH

Where you find it on the menu: Top sushi places (dish is called Fugu).

How it’s prepared: Licensed chefs (with 7 yrs. of intense training) carve out the poisonous parts – very carefully.

How it kills: Fish contains a powerful poison known as Tetrodotoxin.

How you die: Victim is paralyzed and eventually dies from asphyxiation.

Possible cure: Nothing. Zippo. All docs can do is keep you stable ‘til the poison is out of your system.

  1. I consider sushi dangerous for more reasons than that.

  2. I'd be terrified to eat this at a sushi restaurant, I'd definitely stay well clear of the blowfish.

  8. Fugu is one of my favorite parts of the simpsons where Homer didn't know for sure if he ate the poison part or not

  10. Well Homer Simpson survived it. So there must be a cure.

  11. People are incredibly stupid to eat this fish. I've heard of people who have died from it. A famous Sumo wrestler did.

  15. I've actually had Fugu. If I remember correctly, I was drunk. I'm not sure if I would have eaten it sober. All I remember about it, is that it was very expensive.

  17. POISON, POISON, TASTY FISH!

Man, sooooo delicious. Imma gonna wait 'til I'm all old and shit, if I live that long...and when I do get to be a ripe old age, I'll indulge in this.

Possibly something from the Dark Cookbook as well, probably featuring the flesh of a young girl who lost her virginity in the throes of passion while she was strangled to death or something.

...what series is that from? I know that's from a Tales from the Crypt style show, but I'll be damned if I can remember where it's from~!
