WEEBLE FIGURES (1973): Weebles wobble, but they don’t fall down. They also hurt like a mutha when your supposed friend (Billy Fesner) chucks one at your head. These plastic playthings of death were probably most famous for their fun "choking hazard" design. Love to know the figure of Weeble-related emergency room cases back in the day. Still, they looked cool in the Weeble-Van (with shag carpeting).
I had dozens of those things and a playset that went with them. Awesome low maintenance toys.
ReplyDeleteChoking hazard? What kid tries to fit a weeble down their gullet?
ReplyDeleteFunny, my husband-at the time-called me a Weeble when I was pregnant with our first child. And the vans with the shag carpeting?Good times!
ReplyDeleteStill have some of these around the house!
ReplyDeleteIs there a chocolate inside?
ReplyDeleteGeniuses. They made plastic eggs and made them popular. All the money!

ReplyDeleteEverything was a choking hazard in the day - and we didn't care.
