BE HONEST BLOGOSPHERE, DO I LOOK YOUNG ENOUGH TO BE ONE OF THOSE JUMP STREET COPS?

This pic was from a couple of months ago at some bar. I was out with my younger advertising cohorts celebrating some win with copious amounts of beer. If I had to look at myself honesty, ok, sure I’m 40. Though seriously I feel like I could give Depp a run for his money…

… definitely Grieco

... or DeLuise.

BTW…for those that don’t know, 21 Jump Street was a show on FOX in the late 80s / early 90s.
The premise was these cops looked so young that they could actually pose as high school students. So I ask you blogosphere – could I be one of those Jump Street cops? Be honest, it’s the only way I’ll learn.

C’mon! Can’t you just see me in the opening credits?

I’M A BLOGGING SUCCESS…BE HAPPY FOR ME.

Just found out my blog is going to be made into a book.

I’m already getting gobs of advance money for the follow up novel.

Oprah will swoon over me.

I’m positive I’ll be a NY Times best selling darling.

I will appear on the cover of a hot, smart magazine.

FOX will greenlight a sitcom based on my blog that will follow GLEE on Tuesday nights at 9PM (ET/PT).

I will be seen at parties with Tom Hanks and the guy that produces Tom Hank’s movies.

And yeah it’s all bullsh*t, but I can dream. Right? Happy Monday.

RICK ASTLEY PANDEMIC (aka RICKROLLING) CAN NOT BE STOPPED.

I actually reported on this problem way back in August of ’09. Essentially, a bunch of bad apples out there were doing their best to make a mockery of the once classic 80s tune – NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UP by Rick Astley. It pretty much started as a surprise tag on random youtube videos. Out of nowhere the video would cut to Mr. Astley gyrating and singing. Soon after the phrase – “YOU’VE BEEN RICK ROLL’D!" would appear.

Fast forward to 7 months later and now it seems Rickrolling has become a full-blown outbreak. It’s even got a wiki page and a homepage that I do NOT suggest you click on. Here are some of the other victims that have tested RR positive.

FRINGE OBSERVERS vs. MARVEL WATCHERS

by Graphic Guy (NWM Staff Writer)

Ok, a bit late to the table on this discussion. Did a little Fringe catching up last night courtesy of the ol' DVR. So far Fringe’s sophomore season is shaping up to be a pretty good one. The only thing that sorta gives me some ‘cause for concern is this whole Observer thing. As a lifelong comic book reader, I’m finding it a bit odd JJ would move ahead with these O-characters seeing as they are so freaky close to the Watcher ones over at Marvel. One would assume with JJ’s sci-fi and action credits he’d be a shoe in to head a Marvel hero project in the near future. Will this hurt is chances? You be the judge.

WATCHER / OBSERVER:

Powers:

Superior Intellect / Ditto

Time Travel-ish / Ditto

Immortality / Ditto

Access to Future Weapons / Ditto

Characteristics:

Bald / Ditto

Oddly Dressed / Ditto

First Appearance:

Fringe* (1st Season – 2008) / Fantastic Four* #13 (1963)

*Both titles start with an “F”

CELEBRITY REALITY ROLL CALL FOR 2010.

by Eddie Winkle (NWM Staff Writer)

You blink your eyes and already we're down to a month and change left for '09. Soon we'll be welcoming in 2010. Which means a whole new crop of mid-season reality shows. Here’s a sneak peek at 3 series that are hoping to make a big splash on the small screen.

FANTASIA: American Idol Season 6 winner will be starring in an unscripted series on VH-1. The show will go behind the scenes in Ms. Barrino’s everyday "mommy ‘n music" filled life.

KIRSTIE ALLEY: Fresh off her highly publicized weight loss and gain, comes the second round in the Kirstie Alley saga. A&E’s 10 episode series will delve deep into Kirstie’s life, which deals with a new weight loss program, producing a film and raising 2 daughters.

TONY ROBBINS: The king of motivation is taking his act on the road with NBC along for the ride. The show is being produced by Biggest Loser creators and will be centered around Tony trying to help people in need turn their lives around.
