LAST PERSON ON THE PLANET TO FIGURE OUT LEE CORSO LOOKS LIKE MEL BROOKS.

by Nameless Dad (NWM Staff Writer)

I consider myself a casual fan of college football, which is why I’m probably WAY late to the table with this observation. But yes, it is totally freaky how much esteemed ESPN college football analyst LEE CORSO looks like the all-time funniest director MEL BROOKS. F*ck twins. They could be clones or freshly split amoebas. That being said I was just curious how late I was to catch this discovery. Turns out I'm probably the zillion and 1 person that finally figured it out. Here's a sample of those who can claim the “separated at birth” prize ahead of me.

CHEETO JESUS’S COLLEGE BOWL PICK

OREGON STATE (8-4) vs. BRIGHAM YOUNG (10-2)

Maaco Bowl Las Vegas

Dec. 22, 8 p.m. ET

ESPN

Tough call, but Cheeto Jesus would have to go with the OREGON STATE BEAVERS. Winning 5 consecutive bowls is nothing to sneeze at. Cheeto Jesus also thinks they’ll cover the spread.

SEC loss made Tim SAD.

By Biz-Boy (NWM Staff Writer)

Sorry Tim Tebow. You might want to inscribe this verse on your face for the Sugar Bowl.

Psalm 9:9

The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.

ALABAMA: 32

FLORIDA: 13

FYI…The verse of the final score…FREAKY!

ISAIAH 32:13

Mourn for my people's land where thorns and briars will grow. Mourn for all the happy homes in a joyful city. (Gainesville?)

EXTREME BATHROOM GAMES: AERIAL SH*TS.

by Biz-Boy (NWM Staff Writer)

Heard about this game from a friend of mine who played football for a division 2 college. Apparently the whole team would compete in this grueling challenge every night in the dorm bathroom (to the delight of the university cleaning staff).

AERIAL SH*TS (The Game):

Number of Players: Depends on how many stalls.

Equipment: Planks of wood.

Before you begin: Lay the planks of wood above all the stalls (make sure they are strong enough to support all participants). To prevent undue staining, all players must remove pants and be dressed in only boxers or tight whities in order to compete.

Rules:

Before the game begins determine the amount of time for each AS round.

1 score keeper needs to be assigned to each stall.

Each stall should have one player sitting on the plank(s).

Once the game officially starts each player needs to take as many sh*ts as they can.

The goal is to aim your poop in the bowl to score the following points...

  • 3 points if you make it in.
  • 2 points if it hits the rim and goes in.
  • 1 point if it hits the rim and goes on the floor.
  • 0 points if it misses the bowl entirely.

The round ends once time is up.

Person with the most points wins.

PAUL BROGAN 2008 FANTASY FOOTBALL RAP VIDEO STILL HOLDS UP!

Using hip-hop to help fantasy footballers make their picks, that to me is a can’t miss hit-maker*. Especially after viewing this Paul Brogan’s 2008 diddy. He really tells it like it is, giving you straight up “Jimmy The Greek” worthy advice. All with a sample that harkens back to Dr. Dre’s Chronic days. Paul has also made cuts for the MLB World Series, the NCAA college bowls and the Olympics. No word when his 2009 debut will be hitting Wal-Mart.

* – sole opinion of a 38 yr. old Jew from Long Island – take it for what it's worth.

BEST BLEU CHEESE BETS FOR WINGS!

Football is back. Which means once again I’ll be gorging myself into a food coma every Sunday. This season however, I promised myself that I wasn't going to wreck all that new found healthy-ness in my body – unless it was truly worth it. To me, Buffalo wings definitely fits this caloric qualification. Of course, that's ONLY if you have the right bleu cheese. Use a watered down bleu-ish dressing, and you'll totally kill the taste of even the best wings. Now if you’re at the bar, you’re at the kitchen’s mercy. If you're tailgating or doing the couch thing, you do have a couple of winning options. Here are my 3 personal picks.

#3 – Kraft Roka Bleu Cheese:

This is not their regular dressing brand. It’s a bit more heavy duty on the thickness – compared to Kraft’s regular stuff. The taste is good, and not overpowering. However, it still lacks the richness I crave. When you stick a wing in, it should literally be coated like paint. I also feel they could up the cheese chunk factor.

#2 – Wish-Bone Chunky Blue Cheese:

This one is still light on consistency. However, it totally makes up for it with the sheer amount of big bleu cheese chunks they cram in. It almost borders on too much. Almost. As far as taste goes, Wish-Bone is pretty much the sharpest of the bunch. Which might produce a bad after taste with the honey mustard or BBQ wing flavors.

And #1…

Marie’s Chunky Blue Cheese:

Put dressing in a jar and you got me sold. Marie’s just looks like your getting sauce for dipping, instead of dressing. As far as the coating factor, it totally exceeds all expectations. It’s creamy, rich with just the right Bleu cheese crumble ratio. They also score extra points for having 5 Blue Cheese varieties (Blue Cheese Vinaigrette, Blue Cheese with Bacon, Chunky Blue Cheese, Lite Chunky Blue Cheese and the Premium Super Blue Cheese.) For tailgate time, Marie's is a must in my playbook.

DON’T MESS WITH THE FIGHTING ARTICHOKES!

Ohio St. has the Buckeyes. Michigan has the Wolverines. Scottsdale Community College? Well, they have the Fighting Artichokes. Yep. Not much of a beast that strikes fear in the hearts of the competition. In fact, it could be the worst name in college sports history (aside from Santa Cruz’s Banana Slugs.) That’s mainly because Artie the Artichoke (the mascot’s name) was born out of a battle between students and faculty. [Took me a while to find this answer. Actually had to google for it – Wiki had nothing.] The time was 1970, Scottsdale Community was just ten years of age. College heads were working with the student government to figure out the budget. To make a long story short, the students wanted the money to go to needed things like housing and local scholarships. While the faculty want to use it as bribe money to lure out-of-state athletes to their new team. In the end, the faculty overruled the students. As a result, the outraged student senate protested by offering up three "not-so-sporty-tough" team names for vote – Artichoke, the Rutabaga, or the Scoundrels. To avoid further confrontation, the administration let the winning name stand. Though the heads managed to have the last laugh. For the last handful of decades the Artichoke t-shirts have managed to bring in a decent chunck of change. Go Artie!
