1- Technically the pair was made of acrylic plastic.
2- I personally called ‘em death balls, though the world knew them as Ker-bangers or Click clacks.
3- This toy of the '80s actually had a patent granted for it in 1949.
4- These were the oh so easy Ker-bangers instructions.
I never knew they were called Lucite balls. We never called them any of the names you have listed!

ReplyDeleteWe called these things CLACKERS back in school, and I LOVED them, even after several friends ended up with some pretty nasty wrist injuries. They were so much fun, though. Ahhh, the memories.

ReplyDeleteThose Clackers gave me infinite finger and thumb bruising. Stupid things!
ReplyDeleteI never owned a pair of these, but I do remember them. Clackers, yeah, that is what we called them. Did they serve any purpose other to annoy the heck out of everyone!?

ReplyDeleteKilled it as sure as a hunter (even though I know from the look on his face, it surprised him) and from that day forth, I stopped playing with toys that look like weapons.
