4 THINGS I’M 72.8% SURE YOU DON’T KNOW ABOUT NARWHALS

1- This tooth whale makes its home in the Arctic.

2- The Narwhal’s name comes from the Old Norse word nár, which means corpse.

3- The Narwhal’s tusk is actually an extra long incisor tooth (4 to 5 meters long) that shoots out from the upper left side of its jaw.

4- Sometime in the 16th century, Queen Elizabeth got a jeweled Narwhal tusk from one of her loyal subjects.

  6. Any reason why "corpse" was used? I would feel Norse for "tusk" would've been more appropriate.
