Never thought I see that again, but there it was in all its 799KBs of glory.
The Fall Guy lunch box (with Thermos) that some 9 yr. old used to send my sister to the nurse's office. I'm older than my sister so we had lunch periods at different times. So I was unable to come to her rescue.
Apparently what happened is this little, slightly hyperactive runt of a girl thought my sister cut in line for free fudgesicle day. My sister said she didn’t and I believe her. However, this kid thought otherwise and grabbed the nearest thing to smack her with – a metallic 1981 Fall Guy Lunch Box. My sister sustained a minor bump to the head, nothing serious. She's fine today.
FYI…The FALL GUY starred Lee Majors and Heather Thomas. The show lasted from ’81 – ’86.
The lunchbox itself sells for $99.99 on ebay.
This Heather Thomas poster sells for $13 on ebay
– one of the first visuals I had ever pleasured myself to. TMI?
Okay, even though I wanna go back in time & smash the girl who did that to your lil sister, that title just had me in stitches!
ReplyDeleteDon't feel bad, I had that very same poster as a kid.
ReplyDeleteI had a My Little Pony lunchbox. I also unknowingly had a Playboy Bunny bunny sticker inside the lunch box. I just liked the sticker because it was a bunny...I didn't know any difference.
ReplyDeleteaw, your poor sis!!! And yes, tmi. haha
ReplyDeleteThat is messed up. Are you going to try and buy it so you can let her smash it as therapy?
ReplyDeleteFudgsicles are dangerous, not as dangerous as Klondike Bars, but still enough to sustain injuries over.
ReplyDeleteI miss my pokemon lunchbox with the pikachu thermos...
ReplyDeleteBy the way, thank you so much for making me the blog of the day!!!
Yes, TMI. Perhaps I'm helping to corrupt you with all the word pervery over at my blog?
ReplyDeleteI totally remember this show. Did it have Adrian Zmed...no wait, that was TJ Hooker with Captain Kirk and Heather...oh, wait that was Heather Locklear...bet heather Thomas hated that...but, I do recall my mom watching the Fall Guy. Wasn't he the guy who did all the stunts/detective? Wonder if you can watch old episodes online/netflix?

I need to sell some of the lunchboxes around here!
ReplyDeletethat what happens when you hit puberty, you become too old to use lunchbox, and you get a poster.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely TMI.
ReplyDeleteThat bloke shoulda whacked you over the head with that fekkin' lunch box.
Holy assault! That would hurt! Your sister is pretty tough. You literally can find ANYTHING on ebay. Old lunch boxes, collectibles, kidneys...ok, maybe not that one.
ReplyDeleteI am unfamiliar with Fall Guy, but from the lunch box, I am intrigued!! :)
stupid kid that does look like a luch box that would belong to a bully i hate it already
ReplyDeleteOMG,The Fall Guy! What a hoot. Did you know that your poster girl went on to become a major coke (or heroin) addict. Can't remember her drug of choice. That's why she faded fast. That thing could have killed your sister. They were heavy when packed full. Those were the days.
ReplyDeleteaw your poor sis
ReplyDeleteOMG! I had a "fight" with a friend when I was nine. She came at me, so I held up my lunch box (not Fall Guy though, so I'm not the brute from your story!) and she ran into it and gave herself a bloody nose. She told her mom I HIT her though, so guess who got into trouble?
ReplyDeletegreat show
ReplyDeletenostalgasm
that story is sad, and the poster was uncalled for.
ReplyDeletecant imagine someone rocking the lunchbox today
ReplyDeleteGoes to show you how alluring Heather Thomas is nowadays. ;)
ReplyDeletebut did she get her fudgesicle?
ReplyDeleteDamn! Your sis got attacked with a lunch box? Not cool at all!
ReplyDeleteThat's a crazy expensive lunchbox.
ReplyDeleteThe only way your story would have been better is it was a 'Knight Rider' lunchbook. In fact I thought it was when I first looked at it. I came back to North America too late to see all the hype around Farrah but I thought Heather Thomas was the 'bomb diggity.'
ReplyDeleteI would totally use it today if I had one of those. I carried my lunch in a metal Spider-Man lunch box for years.
that lunchbox looks awesome, your sister should feel honored to have been hit with it
ReplyDeleteSmack that kid!
ReplyDeleteTsk. Too bad sissy didn't have a Bionic Woman lunch bucket to smack the other kid back with!
ReplyDeleteYou didn't hunt her down later and beat her senseless with a GI Joe Lunch Box? Oh man!
ReplyDeleteIt does not get any more 80's than this lunch box. Congratulations.
