It reads …
الخبز يغذي الجسم، والواقع، ولكن أيضا الزهور تغذية الروح
Translation:
Bread feeds the body, indeed, but flowers feed also the soul.
~The Koran (Qur'an)
I like it. Very zen-like and relaxing – especially for a cold, dreary Monday.
The quote itself is nestled on a pink floral print with cream accents. The cool part is the quote and background magically appear every time hot water is added. You can buy the mug on Zazzle for the total cost of $19.95 – totally worth it in my opinion.
jewish zen is the new thing...you are a trendsetter my friend!
ReplyDeleteOk...it's a nice mug. (Usually you're posting jugs though, no?)
ReplyDeleteAnd, if you pick the right edible flowers like nasturtiums, you can both have flowers for your soul and for feasting. (pretty deep, huh?)
ReplyDeleteI am afraid if I bought that mug that I would be reported/stalked/spied on my Homeland Security.
ReplyDeleteI don't really care for the flowery part of the cup but I dig the handle going from black to white like that.
ReplyDeleteThe Qu'ran has lots of good quotes. I'm not religious, but from the parts I've read of both the Bible and the Qu'ran, I like the Qu'ran better (in terms of valuable life lessons)
ReplyDeletenice quote but its too pink for me
ReplyDeleteLovely quote although for some reason I can't quite picture you carrying that pretty pink mug around the office...
ReplyDeleteIt's very nice indeed!
ReplyDeleterather girly isn't it?
ReplyDeletevery feminine
ReplyDeleteGotta have me a rose sandwich.
ReplyDeleteI'm a Jew too, but most of my motley mugs come from Goodwill. My cool cups collection is coveted by my friends. None of them match, and they're all "artfully" chipped. Maybe I should "spring" for a pretty new one. But it might make the rest of the mugs look lousy by comparison.
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty cool, but I'm thinking it will clash with my lime green bath robe...
ReplyDeleteYes, but pink clashes with everything I own.
ReplyDeletepretty good but considering it came from a sand pirate I wonder what he really meant by it?
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely quote, but I wouldn't pay $20 for a coffee mug unless you could rub it for three wishes.
ReplyDeleteWhen I tell people I'm not religious but spiritual sometimes they look at me like I have 3 heads. This is why. I feel more connected to the universe and life with these kinds of readings, proverbs, whatever you want to call them. I'd buy it if I could get one that shows the sun coming up on the ocean. Or a dolphin coming up out of the water. Or a sexy guy taking his clothes off on the beach at sunrise!
ReplyDeleteIT MORPHS? WAT?
ReplyDeletecolor me impressed
and hi I missed you in a non-iwanttohavesexwithyou way ;_;
i like the quote but love how the cup cjanges when you add hot water
ReplyDeleteThat's a cute mug. Maybe I should get one for Momma? :/
ReplyDeleteThat's a really nice quote :) Seems like something I'd like to get for my grandma
ReplyDeletehaha! i went to that site, there's a t-shirt there that calls the united states "canada's underwear"
ReplyDeletetee hee!
ReplyDeletebrb eating flowers
ReplyDeleteThis would be a perfect cup, in my opinion, if it had the quote and flowers on one side and a picture of our dog on the other. There is room for both!
ReplyDeletelove it....will you buy me one?
ReplyDeletethat is all
