#1- Enemas have been used in sexual activity and for recreational drug use.
#2- The sexual gratification one gets from enemas is known as Klismaphilia.
#3- The practice of performing enemas began in the 17th century.
#4- Back then they used a syringe with a rectal nozzle (aka Clyster syringe).
#5- To reduce the chance of vomiting, some surgeons will administer a general anesthetic by way of enema.
#7- Because of the toxicity levels, using tap water for enemas is now regarded as a dangerous (almost barbaric) practice.
#8- Coffee enemas have been used to help detoxify the body.
You are correct. I did not know all those facts. And, I'm not admitting to the ones I did :)

ReplyDeleteSee...this is why I love your blog. I'd never be caught dead googling things like "enemas". All I have to do is come visit regularly, and I find out everything I've always wanted (or not) to know without ever having to do an actual search!
