I love dark, damp areas. I infect nails, causing a brown, yellowish discoloration. If you ignore me I will cause the nail to become brittle and eventually crumble away. I am also very contagious. What am I?

Onychomycosis (Toenail Fungus)
- Wear natural cotton socks.
- When using a towel, dry the infected are only once, then wash right after.
- To prevent spreading of fungus, do not share your towels or washcloths.
- Wear breathable shoes.
- Do not use nail polish until the disease is gone.
- File the infected nail thin so that it will be easier to treat.
