TOP 10 ANNOYING SONGS PEOPLE SING WHILE DRUNK AT A BAR AT AROUND 2:23AM.

We’ve all been in that situation. The best night of our bar lives! Whether it’s the flowing beer, the cool company or a romantic encounter, there’s just something that tells us we don’t want this night to end. I’m not above having those nights. The problem is when I don’t, and I have to watch people in that moment. And what comes with that magic night? Singing. No shouting at the top of your lungs, the lyrics to some song the bar is playing. So without further adieu here is the ….WAIT this does not mean I don’t like these songs. I just don’t like them being yelled at 2:23 in the morning. Onto the Annoying Bar Song list…

#10.) Alanis Morissette – Ironic: Angry song sung by people high on depressants. What a combo.

# 9.) Def Leppard – Pour Some Sugar on Me: Actually, it’s not the singing that bothers me as much as the air drumming.

#8.) Notorious BIG – Hypnotize: Rapping and beer do not mix. And if you think it’s bad seeing me do the overbite when I dance, it’s nothing compared to me Hip Hoping. Though, I can hold my own in battle dancing.

#7.) Pearl Jam – Even Flow: I challenge anyone to correctly sing an Eddie lyric after 4+ beers. The best is when they do the Eddie mumble. It’s like a dog whistle for humans.

# 6.) Bon Jovi – Livin’ on a Prayer: There’s not a prayer in hell it sounds good after 3 shots of bourbon and yeager.

# 5.) Garth Brooks – Friends In Low Places: Great F^%$ song in 1992! 2009? Not so much.

#4.) Journey – Don’t Stop Believin’: Ugh! It’s especially annoying when they stop it at the Sopranos ending.

#3.) Rick Springfield – Jessie’s Girl: Yes, the irony isn’t lost on me.

#2.) Neil Diamond – Sweet Caroline: I curse the movie Beautiful Girls for making this song a bar staple. It’s especially annoying when the bartender turns off the volume for certain lyrics. So good. So good.

And #1.) Whitesnake – Hear I go again: Let’s face it, only a chosen few have the pipes for 1980s rock music. And unfortunately they never seem to be in the bar.

Well that’s it. Don’t forget to tip your waitresses.

  1. I personally think "Piano Man" by Billy Joel should be on this list. :)
